We welcome John in as he gives us an inside look on how he started in the mortgage industry. From Cleveland back to the Meadowlands, John eventually started working for a Mortgage Company right out of college in Pine Brook, NJ.&nbsp;</em><em><strong><br />

With a finance background he started in 2002 with “ABSOLUTELY” no background for mortgages. But back in 02 people were buying loans from paper! So, this job that was more shipping than anything! Eventually John got into secondary markets by taking over in the company with a raise. John eventually started to learn from the best, Rich Conforti (Absolutes Executive Vice Pres.) Soon John was taken under Rich’s wing and eventually gravitated to Absolute. John got into some FBI nonsense in his early life…. but we won’t give too much away but listen in to hear all about it. IT WASN’T HIS FAULT!</em></p>

Do you remember that when I first gave you file center? Oh yes. Yup. Yeah, we have, we created the funding report. Yeah. And then then the funding report got created. File center, file center. What is this noise? So what do you think about, I mean, have you just been coasting for the past seven years? Yeah, pretty much. That&#8217;s it.</p>
<p>So we haven&#8217;t, we had this great origin story. Yeah. We get shut down by the FBI. You get a job at Absolute and then it stopped being exciting.. then no more feds. It&#8217;s just like kind of doing mortgages, which been boring closes and big volumes. So, I think that you&#8217;ve really stepped up, um, in the past like 12 to 18 months. Erica, how quiet was John?- &nbsp;No, he didn&#8217;t say a word. Nobody thought he spoke yet. And now he won’t stop talking!</p>
<p>We talked to a couple of people I&#8217;d analyze from afar and now he&#8217;s in volleyball games. Tons of shouting in volleyball. Yeah. Yeah. He&#8217;s actually a really good volleyball player. “</p>

Feeding off of others is what makes marketing more advanced. Collaborating new innovative ideas is something any corporation should be doing on a weekly basis. Marketing the best of our abilities as a group but also in our own unique ways. You know what I&#8217;m saying? It&#8217;s, it&#8217;s great to kind of work on your own Island but unify your island with your co-workers. Central resources is where you need to go. To pull from designated folders, grabbing those ideas and creating something even better. THIS IS HUGE!!! ”</p></blockquote>

<h2>Culture is Key</h2>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>So I think for in the, in the time we&#8217;re in now, I think we have great company culture, It’s different type of culture. Back then culture was more about just having fun. Right? Not necessarily how you treated people at the company. You know, everybody was just there, and there was no compliance back then because you know anybody could get a loan. Culture is what you make it. In family culture you have traditions so why not have company traditions too.. The base of culture is how you treat people, your relationships with others, and the benefits that make your goals successful. <br><br>It depends on the company, the demographic of the company, of what culture is. I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s just like, Hey, this isn&#8217;t fun. Just having fun. Right, right. Or just doing fun things or you know, if you to come to work every day because you like everybody, and you get along with everybody. That&#8217;s the culture of the company too, right? It&#8217;s not just, you know, we threw a party or a Christmas party or you know, we do the workouts. I think that it&#8217;s, it&#8217;s has to be like a kind of a cohesive relationship between the demographic of the company and what the company provides.” <br></p></blockquote>



<p>Absolutes culture is all about employees working hard but we also know when to take a break, or maybe be active with our physical trainer on Tuesdays, and simply brainstorm new ideas in a fun innovative way. Tune in more to see how we go about our monthly routines…</p>
